Terms of service

These terms apply to all purchases from Booked and Busy Books (“we”, “us”, “our”) through bookedandbusybooks.co.uk. By placing an order, you agree to these terms. They do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. About us
Booked and Busy Books is an independent bookshop based in Colwyn Bay, North Wales, United Kingdom. You can contact us at bookedandbusynw@gmail.com.

2. Orders
When you place an order, you’ll receive an email confirming we’ve received it. A contract between us is formed when we dispatch your order. We may decline or cancel an order (for example, if an item is out of stock or a pricing error has occurred). If this happens after you’ve paid, we’ll refund you in full.

3. Prices and payment
All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include any applicable taxes. Delivery charges are shown at checkout. Payment is taken at the time you order. We take care to make sure prices are correct, but if we discover an error we’ll contact you before dispatching your order.

4. Products
We do our best to describe and photograph our books accurately. Covers and editions may occasionally differ slightly from the images shown. Preloved books may show signs of previous use, which is reflected in their price. Signed copies are signed by the author and are limited in number.

5. Delivery
Please see our Shipping policy for delivery costs and times. Responsibility for the goods passes to you once they’re delivered to the address you gave us.

6. Cancellations, returns and refunds
You have the right to cancel most online orders within 14 days of receiving them. Please see our Refund policy for full details, including what to do if an item arrives damaged or faulty.

7. Our responsibility to you
We’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We’re not responsible for loss or damage that isn’t foreseeable, or for any business losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

8. Privacy
We only use your personal information as set out in our Privacy policy.

9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version shown on our website when you place your order is the one that applies.

10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
