Paris, 1984. For thirty years Jonathan Noel, a bank security guard, has lived a life of perfect, uneventful order in his tiny rented room. Then one morning he opens his door to find a pigeon in the corridor, and his carefully arranged world begins to unravel. A strange, darkly funny and haunting short novel from Patrick Süskind, the author of Perfume.
